Beginner Here, what I need to improve right now
Always approach Chess as a professional fighter ready for anything...........
Chess is comparable to boxing and kickboxing some are vicious brawlers who use their power others outfox their opponent and use their speed to avoid getting hit at all they try to wear down the other guy and pick their shots very carefully others will take as much punishment to their face and body as their dishing out to their opponent and keep coming after him and yet others can be very tricky and surprise you.
In Chess and fighting you have to keep your hands up all the time watch he's doing the minute you drop your guard boom or expose your chin boom your going to sleep. If you play people with many different styles in Chess helps you to grow as a player and be better in all areas and adapt to them.
Hi, I have been actively playing chess since 3 months ago. Had never played it before. Where I live there isn't many players or any clubs where I can take tips or mentoring, so I have been learning on my own from books, websites, youtube videos and alike.
So, I ask if could anyone analise my last games and see where I have done better, then specify what skiils I should work on. Have lost 7 games in a row (have lost even OTB with a friend who didn't play chess, only knew the rules. It crushed me), so I am kinda frustated.
Sometimes I see my worst sin is to attack a enemy's piece and leave one of mine hanging. Then the opponent captures the piece and wins a material advantage over me. This is where I start to freak out, become nervous and reactive to opponent's play.
I had never been so fond of strategy games before, always prefering action/logical genre games over strategy/tactical ones, so maybe there is something I am lacking.
I know am not dumb or debilited in logical thinking, on the contrary: have always played logical games since I was a kid and at the time being I am almost completing my Computer Science Bacharelor, in which I have no problem coding/creating algorihms to solve problems.
But at the same time, I feel something is lacking. Chess seems so overhelming to me. Plus I had never been much competitive in my life before, and losing to some dude who never plays (compared to me who study the game daily) made me really angry. So, what should I do?
