I have been reading the articles and advice about the different programs which are used to download chess.com. My head is spinning because I am really new to the internet world altogether. ( I guess that makes me a dinosour! lol ) I have a lot to learn about all of these programs everyone is talking about! I have a lot to learn, but if they will keep  me on chess.com I will get all the latest ones!!

Hi PhillyDog,

You don't need to download any program to use chess.com on a computer. You just use the "browser" you use to read the Internet. For a PC, this is likely to be Internet Explorer. For a Mac, it is likely to be Safari.

If you are using a mobile device, then you need an "app" from your app store. It will be called chess.com and have the same logo as can be seen at the top left corner of any chess.com page.

This made my day haha ...

seriously though. like MCBeaker said, all you need is a browser.

If you are new to the internet I would recommend you read "D is for Digital" by Brian Kernighan (http://kernighan.com/)
