That's one reason I don't like the Ruy Lopez: too complicated for my taste. Why didn't you trade queens when you first had a chance? (Did I miss something?) If you were so far ahead in material at that point, that would've been the most logical thing to do, then just play for a winning endgame. Anyway, good game. I wouldn't have liked to be in White's position.

yeah I thought about that for a while. Because he had a light squared bishop, I thought that it was going to be very hard to make any progress with my dark squared bishop and rooks to open up the position. So I thought my best chance was to keep the queens on the board. I also psychologically thought why is he offering it to me? It must be in his best interest to take them off the board. It is weird, but even though I was up a whole piece, it was very hard to convert.
This guy is rated over 1900. He pretty much gave up a knight for a pawn in the opening and I had to work from that small advantage to win the game. It was not easy and every single plan I had he saw right through and defended strongly with threats of his own. Amazing game and added the computer analysis next to the moves.
