chess mentor is a great feature but I'd recommend it for more advanced players (being as the best part is the 'figure out the move' of complex GM games)...
If you're a beginner looking to improve, play lots of chess :P... play with people that know what they're doing and can help you out. If you're a more advanced beginner (and can afford it) a coach will help you improve very quickly.
The Tactics Trainer and chess mentor are both very valuable tools... as are the annotated games that can be found in certain blogs as well as in the 'articles' section of this site help a lot too.
... Come to think of it, this site has absolutely everything a chess player of any level could need!
Hi there,
Just curious to see what everyone's advice would to be to help me move from beginner to intermediate level play. Chessmaster tutorials? books (recommend me some)? Chess.com tactics trainer? Chess.com chess mentor? Blitz play?
