The toilet height makes sense. Skinny tall guys like Bobby suffer from having their legs fall asleep even with quick poops. Sitting for more than 7 minutes on a toilet with poor erognomics could cause permament nerve damage. Bobby was just looking out for his health.

Your facts are wrong about Spitzer. Eliot Spitzer was governor of New York State and he and his wife were caught with a prostitute. Spitzer resigned his Governorship 2008 as a result.

The problem for Cosby is that these women seem to be coming out of the woodwork en masse. It's like some kind of dam broke and they're all surging toward the nearest microphone to relate their date rape experiences up to forty years ago. An indiscretion or two is one thing--decades of apparently structured behavior are entirely different. He comes off now as a stalky weirdo with a really kinked out fantasy life that he made into reality.
