I'm sure some of you have encountered this experience in which you log in just for a game or two because you have like 3 to 5 minutes free, you play a game suppose you lose the first game then the opponent opts for rematch to which you gladly accept then you win the game and unfortunately because you had limited time online, this time you reject the rematch as you bout to log out, to which you did, then when you login later you find a long insultive message from that opponent calling you all sorts of names, insults, cuss and whatever, this also goes for for those people who catch feelings to when you comment on certain posts then they go to you inbox and once again they insult you because they did not like you comment and they some decided to make it personal even though it didn't concern them, now my concern is how does one deal which such users , is there maybe an option that can allow me to choose if i don't want to receive messages from players that are not on my friend's list ? if not can chess.com implement such ? can chess.com also monitor the texts exchanged especially during the games because there  some players that are very insultive during the games which can be really annoying ...

so make it a rule to never accept rematch request, no matter what, and never ask for one. itnwont entirely solve the problem of others complaining, but you wont find yourself in the situation that you described. there's little point/satisfaction and playing the same person again (in online chess); people here will realize that in time.

You can also tell them when the game starts, that you only have time for this last one.

Chess.com doesn't like it when you complain, be specific about a particular player cussing you out.  You have to jump through a lot of hoops that Chess.com uses to keep you from directly complaining, with an email.  It is like they really don't care.

For some, im sure clicking on a name, and Report is "jumping through hoops"  But for most of us, its really simple.

I played about 20000 games here, probably met about 10000 people.I got a few dozen nasty words, most of them are " runner, cheater, loser, but rude words are rare".

P.S .  I am not  100% gentle, I sometimes did annoying taunts to people who  lose a few games but request rematch several times " why you want 5-0, isn't 3-0 enough for you? ".wink.png About 50% of those are flashback due to my manner. 😃

I reported someone who called me a lollipop sucker but he/she didn't get banned. It's okay. I blocked him/her.
