You mean claiming of the one-month trial? It wasn't mentioned but most Black Friday promotions end the next day or when that week ends.

One free month out of 12 month membership is a 1/12th discount (8%). Much less than the nice 30% discount which is being offered at ChessComShop.com. They should have a link to purchase Gold membership, etc, on that site. Or have a form field for the FRIDAY 30% discount code when filling out your Credit Card information. But I couldn't find anything.
They should skip the 30-day trial and give me the 30% for a yearly membership and be able to cancel after 7-days. As a marketing tactic, it will get people to upgrade to the next level, and possibly renew at that rate next year. Good Marketing = Successful Business. Try it out for one year, see how it performs.
But are there nay discounts for the membership plans??
As I stated in my answer above, I was not able to find any discount on Chess.com membership plans other than the 30-Day Trial (instead of the normal 7-Day Trial). Please post here if you find something I missed.

if anyone 'missed out' on the 30 day membership, don't worry. you will be solicited for trial memberships often.
in 2023 alone, i've been offered free trial memberships 15 times. one was just a couple of days after they muted me. take a guess how that worked.
it should also be noted that i have written publicly in topics criticizing actions (or, inaction) that i would never pay due to how the members are treated. so, don't worry if you did not sign up for the free trial and you'd like to try it out-cc will continue to spam you with offers. just read the fine print.
