It could maybe help you with board visualization, but you need pretty good board visualization in order to even do blindfold.

So I tried playing online blindfold chess and I suck, which was to be expected. I'm 2000 but 400 blindfolded and looking back at the games I played is hilarious. For example:

To do this on chess.com go to settings - live chess, then set your pieces to blindfold, which makes them invisible. Also if any of you are well versed in the subject of blindfold chess, what are the benefits of it?
