Blindfolded Simul!?!?!?!?!

Hey guys!

So I am going to be performing a 3 game blindfolded simul to raise money for my chess team. I was wondering, do you guys have any "secret" tips for me. I've done Blindfolded Simuls before, but not in public.... I think that distractions are going to be a big factor in this, so any help or tips are much appreciated!

p.s. I'll eventually upload a video of the simul (once it happens). :)

When you mention that you are going to do this at a public setting, are you referring to a setting similar to a Mall or something more like a library?

It will be in my school's PAC with spectators, potential sponsors, faculty, students, and anyone else who wants to watch or participate.

We figured the mall setting wouldn't be appropriate for a long grueling blind-folded simul.

@Cainite Thanks for the advice. I've done that before and it really does help!! :)

Any other tips?

Just so you all know, I did the simul today and finished with 2 wins and 1 loss (due to miscommunication between myself and the players). Video will be coming soon. :)

Since according to your chess rating, you are not yet at master level(taking into account chess.com rating inflation), I'd say the players have to be extremely weak.

Actually not, as long as you have good visualization skills, you can play even up to your normal level. You would think that the best blindfolded players in the world would be the best players in the world, but thats not the case. It all just depends on your visualization skills. :)

Do you mean your level or lower?

Even if he lost to three players who just learned the rules that morning, I'd still be impressed.  I'm always amazed when I hear about someone playing one whole game in their head, let alone three. I can visualize 1.e4 e5. After that it starts to get fuzzy.

Congratulations. I hope you raised the money you needed.
