Not sure, I always tilt my blitz down a 200 points as well. First of all it's little tougher competition because its the most popular format, but I also play it very casually when Im tired or drunk, so loss streaks happen. When I play rapid Im actually in a mood to focus on chess so loss streaks havent happened there yet.
Blitz ladder here is crazy

I looked in your history expecting something obvious (like rematching 1 guy, IDK) but found you maintained ~1500 for a whole month and hundreds of games... but somehow before and after that you stay around 1200 or so.
Weird. Maybe you play too much while drunk / on the toilet / etc.
Rapid and Blitz ratings are not directly comparable. A 1500 rapid player vs a 1500 blitz player; generally the blitz player is stronger overall.
Blitz is different, it's often a test of what you know/using intuition and pattern recognition vs brute force calculation, with the clock being a big factor too, so you can get wild games with mistakes and upsets. It's also why I find this time control to be most fun!
It's not too fast that the moves are without accuracy, but fast enough that there's rarely a lull period of more than 1 minute.

Well i usually tilt and lot and i have huge drops. But it feels like i can go back up to 1500 only i play weird gambits or for dirty tricks , trying to flag etc and I don't like that. Also, there's so many agry players in blitz, they play as if they hate the game and they want to win in 10 moves and be done with it. Sometimes i tend to lose to guys like this because i get carried on by them playing fast so i start playing fast and brainless and end up getting in horrible positions.

Hah, I know what you mean, but I'm usually the "angry player who hates the game"
What I mean is, I usually play fast... but when I'm not in the mood and I'm slow, suddenly half my opponents are playing a lot better than they normally would. For a long time I've suspected that playing fast influences some opponents into playing much worse than they normally would.

While i can stand my ground easily in the 1500s in slow rapid chess and even getting the feeling that i will be 1600+ soon, in blitz it's so weird that at times i beat with ease players of 1500+ rating and at times I'm getting crushed by 1100s.
Chesscom Blitz ladder is really frustrating. I've been 1200 then 1500+ then dropped down to 1100 then went back up to 1500+ then dropped down to 1100 again. And it feels like a loop. Of course it's blitz and most of the times I'm playing im either drunk or in the toilet etc. But still, rating in blitz is really crazy idk.
I do prefer slower chess but I'm not always available for it and blitz seems to be the meta nowadays.
So why is the blitz ladder so crazy?
