Blitz is more fun and I’ve found improvement with both however for most people rapid is gonna lead to more improvement

Rapid. With blitz too much comes down to mouse speed and flagging which isn't what chess should be.

3 min 2 sec increment almost removes flagging, it takes an impressively slow player to flag in 3,2

I guess Fischer counted as impressively slow player. This is hilarious. Either bullet or blitz shows 4 things. Fear of losing. Fear of opponent having time to calculate. Having no idea what to calculate if you did have the time. False sense of accomplishment.

you never play blitz so how would you know?

Rapid, allows you to think and makes you Improve faster while Blitz, is 3 minutes so you will be blundering more commonly and play your moves fast in rapid, leading to blunders

Rapid because I'm better at it XD

With an increment, it stops being blitz. Of course, here they think what they think and good luck to them. Also, thinking at two seconds per move is faster than blitz! A 5 minute blitz game that, say, lasts for 50 moves, is six seconds per move plus thinking in your opponent's time. People playing at 2 seconds per move aren't playing real chess and 5 mins no increment is more authentic.

I found it hard to understand what you mean, but 3 min 2 sec increment is still blitz and it the type of blitz played OTB.

The best time control for improving is the one where you don't feel rushed and have time to think.

Also guys look at this guy called “frostym” here he hit 2500 blitz after 2 year of only 3|0, it can happen.

All time controls are important. You cannot improve efficiently without playing a combination of both blitz, rapid and bullet (classical OTB). I personally from 1400 onwards played 80% blitz , 15% bullet and 5% rapid online, but I used to play rapid and blitz OTB which helped me improve my game.

Did Fischer ever get clocked out on a 3|2 bullet game?

You must have some information the rest of us don't, since the increment was invented in Bobby Fischer's final public game of chess.

That said, I might qualify as an impressively slow player. It is possible to clock me out on 3|2, not because I can't make a move in 2 seconds but because I instinctively take longer in difficult positions and can might time myself out without realising it.

But I'd say a more disciplined player can avoid that, and certainly you're a lot less likely to get clocked out than incrementless. Part of this is because people are much less likely to try to flag you in 3|2, as many people can indeed avoid clocking out 100% of the time.

Fischer was the best 5|0 blitz player of the world.
He won the famous 1970 Herceg Novi Tournament with 4.5 points more than Tal.

Nevertheless, he thought lowly of blitz

#20 I was exaggerating a bit with impressively slow but I still think that the 2 second increment is enough time to not flag
