Soothsayer8 has qualified to the next round after an awesome display of Bongcloud abilities.

Differing from the game between TheMouse and ChenYakumo, this game shows two players fighting wildly in the Open Bongcloud teritory, where Soothsayer's traditional Bongcloud (fast development of the King) defeated my Hypermodern approach (barricade first and then attack). It was a though fight, involving numerous retreats and counterattacks and finally, after a long battle, my king entered the 8th rank a move later than my opponent's (yes, I know I lost, but I was soooo close I wanted to place my king there).

Thank you for the kind words, pauix! The game was very close, I thought I might have lost for a bit. I think the game also highlighted a most important aspect of bongcloud games that is often overlooked: the endgame! I plan to release a full analysis of the game soon!

After my initial gambit of a knight and queen failed, I was unable to penetrate further and my opponent beat me to the other side of the board with a clever exchange. Congratulatory doritos are in order for Iwishiwonthatone!
