Bots harder for their level

I could beat a 1500 rated bot but I can't beat a 300 rated real PLAYER?

Peytondoggo
The bots aren’t exactly like their rating says they are. For example, I’m having hard times beating 650’s in bullet, but I can easily beat the 1700 bot (I don’t know the bots exact rating, but it’s in between 1500 and 1800). It’s because players can level up, I think, depending on their skill - they could be rated 300, as you’ve said, but they could actually a really good player. Bots can’t level up, though.

Exactly!!! WTH!!!

I was going to ask this. I was wondering if it might be because a lot of good players starting a new account are underrated on their way through the ranks. What do you think?

New accounts have very high Glicko (rating deviation) and can usually reach something close to their natural level after not many games. The bots are just massively overrated, particularly the ones in the 1000-2300 range

What BruceBrakel said makes sense... except that new accounts start with 800

Lower rated bots have very inflated ratings compared to their human counterparts.

That is the main reason.

I heard Alexa and Siri can play chess.

I have a friend who has Alexa. I'm finding out.

Alexa says she does not play but she's a big fan and her favorite opening is the Queen's Gambit.

@JamesColeman, I think bots in master level are actually underrated. I can beat a 2300 player with at least 50% chance but I can’t beat a 2300 bot (blitz style) with such a chance (maybe 20% chance). Just give it a try! They are extremely tactically alert.

Apparently lower rated bots are just random.

As the title says, I think there needs to be harder bots. I went into the practice tool to try out a combo. I set a bot as renekton and put it on intermediate (highest). This bot had grasp, cleanse, and smite. On top of none of this being optimal; when the bot got to 20%, it literally walked up to me and didn't attack. Just stood there.

I propose a bot that plays like your selected Elo. Allowing you to practice against a bot your skill level. It would be nice be able to try a build or a combo, with out possibly throwing a game for it not working 24 savage

Of course 2300 bots are much harder to beat in blitz mode. Us humans need time to find and calculate sound moves/combinations while bots just play them instantly.
