breaking news Carlsens blunders away a winning position

Very happy for Radjabov for his win today, I've loved seeing his play and I'm glad he's done well to begin the tournament. Hopefully he can keep it up and finish strong!
As for Carlsen... Losing twice in a row is a pretty major setback for him, but he's Carlsen, he'll bounce back just fine, without a doubt.

there once was a documentary made by NatGeo on Judit Polgar showcasing how chess players brain work.
i hope that NatGeo considers making another dcumentary on carlsen
It's called My Brilliant Brain. Ive watched it a few times. Its on youtube and pretty cool to see.

Hmm, or a new class of GM. What to call them though ? "Super-Duper GM" sounds a bit silly.
Carlsen.
Carlsen won't be looking so super on sunday when Naka destroys him.
Not this sunday.

Naka couldn't destroy Carlsen with odds.
Don't be ridiculous...all you Carlsen groupies have got a big setback coming your way on sunday ...Naka nearly won with white last time ; this time he will show the world what a great player he is ..bring it on Magnus.
Bumping this one too.

Naka nearly won this time too! Nearly
That was the part when Carlsen "blundered" and went from -4 to -1.5, right?

I'm beginning to think that Naka needs to employ the services of a world class sports psychologist to help him get over the Carlsen hurdle..lots of sports stars use psychologists these days and it might just do the trick for Naka.

It's definitely psychological. His record isn't just bad, it's abyssmal. +0 -9 =15 can't be explained by just a difference in chess skill. Naka gets in his own head when playing Carlsen, as seen today when he apparently blew a strong advantage and ended up losing. How he deals with that I don't know, but he'll have to if he ever wants to be viewed as a serious contender for the world title.

You mean +0 -10 =15, right?

There's definitely some psychological factor here, he just needs to beat Magnus once so that he knows he can do it... then we should see some even better games...

Naka nearly won?
No, at best the game was equal in the middle...
Nakamura had an advantage before he moved his knight from h5 back to e2. A pawn ahead with only a little compensation for black. As Nakamura said, he simply misplayed the position. There is no doubt that white is better there.
So, it actually was a Moral Victory for Nakamura?

I agree that (if I am correct or heard correctly) that Carlsen said that White was winning...but
Carlsen has shown in Round 3, 4 & 5 that his 'positional evaluation form' has declined a bit. He is making slight inaccuracies in assessing the positions (we have the benefit of strong engines). Anyway, lets see what Pfren or any other Chess Master has to say about it.

White was a pawn up, but it would be very difficult to force a win from that position.
Precisely. Agreed. Lets hope for a fierce contest in November 2014.
