Bug? Can't castle when checked!

Is it intentional that I can't castle, when I get checked? The castling would move my King out of danger from the check, but I can't do it. I guess cause the system suggests, I have to move my King for a move and the castling is not part of that moveset.
You can not castle when you are checked. It is against chess rules.

If you don't know the rules of castling you may also want to look up something called capturing en passant.

They should make the board more realistic and let you break the rules and flip up the pieces when you lose.
