I would say symmetrical openings (either side) often times focus on development and attacking prospects do not manifest so quickly. A prime example may be the Giuoco Piano Game: Giuoco Pianissimo Variation. This opening name "Giuoco Pianissimo" literally translates into "Very Quiet" as referring to the "calm" game state that is typically thematic.
Standard Four Knights Game also has less attacking potential I would say, but the Scotch Four Knights seems like a more ambitious opening in my opinion.
Which openings, for white and black, give almost no attacking prospects?
