Yeah, although even for that you need some basic competency at programming. I am interested in what the OP has to say about all this. Has he made a chess engine already? If not, does he find my advice useful? Is he still planning on making a chess engine?

Ooh i made a chess bot you can use python with the module chess in pycharm or smth like replit for online coding, itd very fun and gl if you do (it can beat me and all my friends lmao)
