     That's it.

Sometimes I just want to want to relax and  play unrated games on Chess.com because I get too pumped-up when I play rated games,  but I can't find a section on the website to do that.  I shouldn't worry about my rating but I do and it can ruin the chess-playing experience.

Is it possible to play unrated games??

     I am a paid member of Chess.com.

Sure skinnyhorse it's simple. Go to live chess, hit create challenge and hit unrated. Cheers! 🇺🇸

Thank you Hey_Randi, it would have taken me a long time to find the answer to playing unrated games on my own.  THX!

I know it's ridulous, but sometimes I just get freaked out about losing rating points---I'd rather play some unrated games than pay for a psychiatrist.

Also, sometimes when I am going to play at a new time control, like some 30 minute games, I want to play unrated for a few games so I get the hang of the 30 time control.

That is always a smart idea.  Me? I couldn't care less what my ratings are. Goo  luck Skinnyhorse

When I play rated games I am tense.

When I play unrated games I am relaxed.
