hello, im new to chess, i've just had this game, my knight can't move because it's blocking the queen's attack on the king, i wondered if this would make my queen unprotected if i tried to checkmate by going queen e4, and then decided to do it anyway to see the outcome, and i won by checkmate, why is that ?
Pinned pieces still protect and pieces/squares. So the queen is protected.
