Carlsen is a human!

As we saw he hung his queen in the last round of amber.. Also in the first round he admitted he forgot ivanchuk had tripled pawns and 9th round he made an illegal move and soon realized if that move was legal he wouldav blundered. (all blindfold games) This made me realize that even the worlds best isn't perfect.. He's human, I always thought they had the position in their heads and they couldn't screw up even if they got knocked out hehe All I have to say us that I'm happy he made those mistakes because it made me realize even the top chess players make mistakes

Carlsen is still inexperienced in blindfolded. You will be hard pressed to find Kramnik hangging random pieces in a blindfolded game.

Really?

Yep, it's hard to believe but Carlsen really is a human.

jarkov

Carlsen is a gelgamek

Ytse_Ham

Human? Yes.

Prodigy? Yes.

I'm sure the level of competition has something to do with it :) against guys like me I'm sure he wouldn't have too much trouble doing a blindfold simul without hanging pieces or illegal moves.  Vs a fellow super GM he was probably sweating the small stuff... maybe looked too far ahead in the position and forgot the current one or something... but yes this is still pretty surprising to hear.

Wow, I never knew that the strongest human chess player was a human.

Ricardo_Morro

There have been great chess masters who would occasionally make obvious blunders even with full sight of the board. Akiba Rubinstein was notorious for this, he ruined many beautiful games with some last-minute blunder, and he was one of the greatest chess players to ever live.

Because he is not. I have a first hand knowledge Rybka 4.2 is installed to him. Although I am not sure if that glitch was caused by the Rybka itself, or if his operating system was the problem.

Fromper

He's not human. He's a machine. Skynet told him to make those mistakes to keep the humans from getting suspicious. Do you know John Connor?

Wait, did he hang the queen in the blindfold game, because I could understand that. If it was a regular game, then that's really a shocker, but even the best players make simple blunders sometimes, that's what happens when you're human.

wbbaxterbones

He hung it in the blindfold game Elubas.

Any examples? I'm interested.
