That doesn't sound like Carlsen at all. In fact Carlsen is the last GM I'd expect to use the term "crushing." It's unprofessional and disrespectful at best...
Carlsen's comment was: "Han kjenner Anand bedre enn noe andre, han var også den som klarte å knekke Anand" i.e. "He knows Anand better than anyone, and was the one who managed to knekke Anand".
Looking at http://www.ordetbetyr.com/synonym/knekke a couple of the synonyms given to knekke are "make hash of", "demolish", "annihilate" and "level with earth" :-) But maybe "break" or something like that would be the most accurate translation.
Carlsen is saying in a recent interview that he will ask Kasparov for advice ahead of the title match. He says that all is decided with regards to his team, doesn’t want to say who will be in it except that Kasparov won’t be part of it. However, he will talk to Kasparov since no one knows Anand better than him, and it should be helpful not least considering Kasparov’s crushing Anand (winning their last ten decisive games).
