cheating

i lost games for the following reasons. one my opponent made four straight moves and i was unable to make a move, another my clock was decreasing while it was his move. I am tired of all the problems with your game. This is why i cancelled my membership and demanded a refund of my payments. I get the feeling that these problems are being deliberately caused by one or more of your administrators.

When I first start playing everything is ok then I start having issues with the clock and unable to make moves. Unfortunately, I have to curse to get a response from one of your administrators.

Does the headline means that you are cheating here when you play?

Do you have a link to that first game you mention? Because I have never seen anything like that here.

On the second case, that is a symptom of your client being disconnected from the Live server process. The server never received your move.

Moderators are going to kick you. Discussing cheating in forums is prohibited I believe. You must follow the proper channels and formally file a compliment.

Haha 🤦‍♂️ Thank you for your assistance kaynight.

His issues are due to lag, which can be horrendous a lot of the time. Like today, 10 /15 seconds just to type a single letter. Log out, back in, works a bit then freezes. it's this v3 thing.

I don't have lag issues with the site today. Not playing any games, so can't speak to that but the site has been working well on mobile web and full desktop for me.

Avatar of ProfessorPownall

yea... works well sometimes, other times not. Comes and goes. It is not my connection; guaranteed. no problems anywhere except here. People connecting from everywhere, some have it good, some not so good.

Avatar of Martin_Stahl

Most connections take different routes to the chess.com servers and parts of those routes can introduce lag for some members and not for others.

Avatar of ProfessorPownall

Of course. But this does not exclude chess.com's servers from all culpability.

Avatar of Martin_Stahl

Of course not. But if the vast majority of users don't have an issue, or rarely have issues, then it is very likely something outside the direct control of the site or the client application.

I've mostly experienced the lag thing on Androids. Usually, on iOS (to compare) when I make a move instantly (as in place the piece on the square while my opponent is making a move) the timer does not decrement, on Android tho, it at least drops down by 1 sec. It could be my device lagging, but just wanted to share my experience.

Also, I wasn't talking about "pre move" in my previous post if you're thinking about that.

What has your explanation to do with cheating? Nothing.

I've looked through a couple of your most recent games and cannot find where your "opponent made 'four straight moves'".

Please provide a link or tell us the date?
