i have been in several games of which i was winning and my opponent does something to my internet that ends the game and my opponent wins the game. How can I prevent this from occurring again.

You are connected separately to the the chess.com server. Your opponent can't affect your connection.

Have you tried the options in live connection settings? https://support.chess.com/article/873-how-can-i-improve-my-live-chess-connection

@justbefair, what if the opponent has access to tools that we don’t?

They don't.

To clarify, they would have to hack the site servers and live server code to do it and if they get that kind of access, they aren't going to be disconnecting their opponents.

I lost connection in live about an hour ago too. But it was a server issue i guess so we both suffered from it me and my opponent.

It came back on in about 10 minutes and i was told the game was 'aborted'..

Maybe that was what happened to you as well but idk why you lost the game.
