At the end of a match,  a blue line said someone was using chess engine. Is there a way to prevent playing with a person using the help of an engine. I blocked the person.

I believe that you are seeing is a banner with a message to not use analysis while playing. That can happen if you have a tab or window open to a different game on Analysis.

It's not about your opponent and when the site detects someone using an engine in a game, it bans the account.

I blocked the opponent because this is the first time I seen it.

Martin is right, your opponent wasn’t cheating, but no there’s no way to block people that are cheating because as soon as the site realizes they are they get banned immediately

I'll take your advice here.

Careful, you will get banned for bringing up cheating. Chess.com is a business and wont take cheating seriously because it hurts the bottom line. I’d love to see the money generated from these new ads go towards blocking the cheats.
