Cheating?!

I have played a couple of games lately where the quality of the opposition seemed much greater than their rating. It also seemed something not quite right about the game. Is it common for players to use a chess simulator, computer chess or something similar and is this not cheating?

Trust me, at your level, you will not come across any cheaters. But if you're curious, you're welcome to ask these on the cheating discussion forum. Not on the public forums, though.
