Check, Capture, Threat - Not quite right for me

First of all I am a beginner but I am finding the tradition CCT as inadequate thought process for me.  Let me explain and then I am open for correction.

I like "T & T" (sounds like TNT - DYNAMITE) standing for Tempo(S) & Takes(S).

1.  First, look for Tempos like king check, queen check, unprotected/underprotected piece check.  All of this can force your opponent to stay off his plan and should not help them to further their development.  With tempo moves, we can then anticipate their response and plan your next move.  Tempo puts you in control and has been helping me to put a bit of a plan together.  Of course we also want to prevent moves that give tempo to the opponent.

2.  Evaluate all Takes.  What can I take and what can they take.  Of course this extends to hidden, discovered attacks, skewers, forks, pins etc.  This concept is helping me to develop my tactics and preventing an opponent tactic.

Just a thought from a beginner... don't be too rough on me. LOL
