Actually, an anagram is taking a word or phrase, and by rearranging the letters, come up with a new word or phrase.  Who can decode these anagrammed chess masters?

I think the traditional idea is that you do in fact make a new word or phrase, as opposed to just mixing up the letters. If you do that, I think it's more like just a jumble.
