@harryz: the reason is that I dont agree. Its a game. It has rules. The rules say nothing about you being !forced! to give up just because you are technically loosing...

never the less it seems to be "expected" of you to do so.

Im just a class B player (I think: 1800-1900 FIDE) and I win ALL my games because my opponent blunders badly. It will always make sense for me to play on - and wait for my opponent to blunder...

I completely disagree, and I doubt he played more than 2 moves on. I know from my experience that high-rated players don't play on for that long in very hopeless positions. Don't rain on Sevian.
