Chess Base: Free Download?

It may be worth it for the database of games since a lot of them are annotated (but not so much just the games themselves, since you can find those for free easily), but none of the Chess Base software (including Fritz) is worth much money when there are free programs that do essentially everything that Fritz/ChessBase does.

Get SCID vs. PC and Lucas Chess for free and save your money.

(The only free way is pirated ones up to date....I havent seen any other that is free other than lite versions or SCID which is not chessbase:))

There are no lite versions of SCID and his variants. The program is both full, and free.

And I agree it's not Chessbase. For me it's somewhat better, and certainly less buggy (the SCID vs PC version).

I downloaded Chessbase 13 and Fritz 15 for free, it is too expensive to buy it.
