I'm not sure where to put this, but anyway. I am relativly new to chess and I am looking for a chess book to help me improve and I'm not sure which one to buy. Which chess book would you suggest?

Thanks in advance.

It's difficult to know what to suggest because I don't know exactly what "relatively new to chess" means in your case.  Sometimes you can get an idea of where a person is by looking at their results on here, but you haven't played any games yet. I'll recommend a couple of options anyway.

First choice would be a combination of two books: Play Winning Chess by Yasser Seirawan and A World Champion's Guide to Chess by Susan Polgar.

Second choice would be The Complete Idiot's Guide to Chess by Patrick Wolff.

a book that helped me get started was "First Chess Openings" by Eric Schiller.
