Perhaps buy a chess game like Majestic Chess?
It is fun and has improved my game and my son's game. We just started chess about 2 months ago, and (like you) I first tried books. I just couldn't translate it into improving my game.
Majestic chess offered a hands on approach. You learn a tactic then you play against the computer using it. Seems to work much better on my son as I can't beat him, but we can now beat our neighbors : )
its was boring to read,,it made me sleep..but i want to improve my game...pls give me some advice to make me easy to read it..
