there must be a bug with the clock last 5 seconds going faster than normal, so unfair!!

No, what is happening is computer Lag- the clock runs at the right speed, but shows the wrong speed. Your user would see the same thing.

Perhaps check the hundreds of other topics on this issue? There a new one every week or so.
