Why does your opponent should wait forever? Even if you have legit reason to abandon the game for several minutes.

I would assume it has more to do with cheating than anything, no? It’s sketchy to leave mid game. I get emergencies happen, but at that point you should politely resign. My kids broke a glass the other day when I was playing, I simply resigned and went to tend to them. If a text is that important you can’t wait, resign.

It’s sketchy to leave middle game????? I’m diabetic, I use my phone to measure glucose levels. I’m supposed to play a 15+10 game —- meaning like 45 minutes — forbidden to check my glucose??

Also, just an example.. if you played a one minute game and were away for one minute then ofcourse it will get resigned.
