I was wondering, when is chess.com gonna release an app for Windows 10?

Windows 10 phones? They dropped support for windows years ago because it had such a teeny market share. Is it making a comeback?

PC's. I don't know if it is making a comeback, but since I have a PC it would be nice to have an app.

Why would you want to use an app on a PC? Both current phone apps have much less functionality than the browser version that works across many browsers and operating systems.

It is a "plugin" for Chrome, IE, and Firefox. If you go to www.chess.com it loads automatically.

? I don't know what you mean.

Press F11, voila.

But serious, there is no App. The site works just fine.

I would say, though, I was very discouraged when windows 10 phone was discontinued by Microsoft, just because it's market share only.... but I enjoyed windows 10 phone.

Now I am on Windows 10 surface, and hoping to have major apps on my table/pc hybrid.

Windows 10 (PC version) has been a great market share, and Microsoft store is amazing in supporting windows phone apps. Thus, I insist, to have a Chess.Com app for Windows 10 as well. If you are using Excel, word, and Skype, you can enjoy using Chess.Com app.

Thanks. Safdari

Hi, It seems the watch function is not present on the website... Is that right?

Sure it is. Go into live chess and click on the binoculars icon.

It would be neat to be able to put in your choice of engine and go over your games like it is a database. That is one thing programs like BabasChess do by writing to a .pgn file. Chess.com could market something similar. You get like the most recent 100 games you have played or anyone else has played. Then if you want more you pay for premium membership. This would be one big reason I see to upgrade.

There are a couple of options on the Analysis Board. Stockfish and Komodo MCTS.

Maybe a false positive - fairly common. If it makes you feel any better, it was run through VirusTotal 25 days ago, and the 66 AV programs found nothing.

(Btw, if you're running Windows 10, you already have a virus, haha.)

On the downside, it's an Electron app - slow and memory hoggish...meh.

I hadn't noticed that it's not in Windows 10. (I never used it much.) I guess Microsoft wants you to play Candy Crush instead...
