Chess.com is awful.

"Sound opening principles." Okay:
1. Control the center
2. Develop your pieces
3. Protect your king
4. Gain space
Just how far is that supposed to carry a player?
Done well, it should carry a player into a playable (hopefully winning, but at the very least equal) middle-game, with clear positional goals and/or tactical targets in mind.

I just tested a plugin on Chrome and the pages all are loading in 2 seconds or faster on v3. I'll have to test on FF later.
I was able to get a short test in and while FF was a little slower than Chrome it was under 3 seconds on all loads.
Which plugin are you using?
Which page(s) are you loading?
Did you clear cache before each access attempt?
Did the page fully render or just download the data? I would imagine the plugin only measures data download times, not javascript processing / display time as well.

I can't even use it to prepare for OTB chess! even players rated up above 1700 play stupid junk like 1. h3 and just stupid Openings in general. what a mess. what is this site good for?
Hello Phantom, we're really sorry that you lost your game to your opponent who used the "stupid junk" 1. h3 move.
Reminds me of a similar complaint, "Basically I am playing chess openings at the 1800 level but my opponents don't understand them so play stupid moves that makes me lose".
Please feel free to use the tissues kindly donated at the bottom of p.2 #40, to wipe away your middle class problem (Don't blame this website).

I'll have to post when I get back to my computer but the page was fully loaded and usable. Can't guarantee all Javascript processing was completed. Would have to check the plugin documentation to see what processing is included.

Here are the page load times - V2 vs V3.
[1] Page - chess.com/forum
- V3- 3.50 seconds
- V2- 1.14 seconds
[2] Page - chess.com/home
- V3- 2.88 seconds
- V2- 2.89 seconds (surprise!)
[3] Page - chess.com/live
- V3- 7.98 seconds
- V2- 5.22 seconds
[4] Page - chess.com/tactics
- V3- 2.94 seconds
- V2- 1.94 seconds
Though it's clear that V2 is still a little faster than V3, what our pal @Spacebux is mentioning here sounds more like a client side problem.
PS. Just went back to V2 for testing purposes after a long time and I must admit I still like the old site better. The nostalgia has hit me hard.

That was a note on Andres' profile page.. Turns out he's a new kid on the block and eleven, and how he addressed his comment and the crassness of others here it was mis-taken, not to mention one particular idiot that loves trolling me, his taunt as to why I pasted such before knowing he just a child, eleven.
taunter..

Chess.com rocks. For you Malaysians...chess.com rocks lah!
Unnecessary racist comment. Stop being mean. Thanks. Greetings.

Please point out the racist comment. Having spent some time in Malaysia, I am curious just what you considered to be racist? Was it calling people from Malaysia Malaysians or was it the use of the common Malaysian slang expression, lah?
I'm guessing you have no idea what you're talking about and this is a lame attempt at trying to incite.
Move along bronstein.....come back with something worth reading.
