Although I like Chess.com's forums the best....

Sorry Chess.com .... There is Less Cheating going on at LIchess.

I can't explain why... one would think being free... there would be more... but nope.

I play here at Chess.com, at Lichess and the Chessbase's server (Playchess.com) Both Lichess and Chessbase... the skill levels are normal to the ELO's ... not here. (hence I don't play a lot here)

My skills arnt normal to my ego on lichess either elo isn't indicative of future performance at all mostly past performance yes there are less cheaters at lichess tho

* Elo not ego

Also ironically I get accused more on lichess than chess.com even with less cheaters though prob that's cause I'm underated there

Whats your Lichess rating???

lichess because its free

Also better puzzles and a cleaner arena system

Lichess Arena pairings are too slow.

For me they aren't i get 1800-2200s all the time in arena pairings if you get like top 10-30 it should be consistant

But if your 2500+ they are probably too lol but you can always practice your speed and berserk even if they are too low

I’ve run Arena tournaments on Lichess for groups of students and had more than half of the students waiting to get paired.

I’ve played in tournaments with 1000 participants and waited five minutes for a pairing.

Neither of these things happen on chessdotcom where I’ve rarely had to wait twenty seconds for a game.

True the pairings can be a bit slow though I have never had an issue where it took longer than a minute to two

If you actually look for good arenas on chess.com they are better though more at risk of getting things like cheaters than lichess

I read last week from titled players they are amazed at the number of cheaters they encountered at Lichess, and no one reported resulted in being suspended.

Lol no it was Miodrag Perunovic, The Butcher.

I can't explain why...

Chess.com is far more popular.

The cheats and the smurfs will go where the most players are, I imagine.

Though, I don't point a finger at Chess.com when I encounter cheats/smurfs - I point a finger at the players themselves. They're to blame, not the website. They're the ones abusing the platform and ruining the experience for others.

That is my explanation for the phenomenon also.

I also think what is contributing to the cheating is there are huge blocks of players in certain elo ranges, so you get this ebb and flow of elo points due to the competition at that level being very high. 1000 players at say 1000 elo range... to get above the block... one will have to play way above 1000 elo.

People get frustrated... next thing you know, out comes the I-phone.

Defiantly the pond is bigger here, and if you want to be a better chess player... you have to invest in losses .

I am pretty sure discussing other chess platforms on here is strictly forbidden...
