It is not trash. It is accurate and I think it’s fine.

have you read the first post and the other ones

your rapid is 1500. I think finding 2500 puzzles hard to calculate quickly isn't that big of a deal.

another thing to mention is that chess ratings vs puzzle ratings are quite different.

People are gonna stay at 2400-2700 for the 1500-2000 range.

Lchess

l*chess sucks overall. plus i payed money for diamond membership. i would rather play on icc than play on that joke.

i have no clue what icc is im dumb dont come for me ok lol

i agree with the first two sentences tho

also the fact that l*chess has a lot of inflation, im literally like hundreds of points higher there which makes my ego go up but down when i realize its all fake

my lichess rating is twice my chess.com, im 700 here lol

It might be because you can only do seven puzzles each day if you don't have the membership, where as lichess you can do as many puzzles as you want.

You're right.

You're a beginner level player with a nearly 2500 puzzle rating.

What a fking joke.

The 2400 puzzles have the same time limit as the 1400 puzzles. The difference is difficulty.

yea, so then why don't i get those? if i can solve difficult puzzles fast most of the time (tough but doable) then why don't i get puzzles for my rating no one has answered this yet :/

if i have shown that i can solve hard puzzles, that probably means i should get harder puzzles. if my rating is 2600, that means that i can solve puzzles rated that regardless of time. but no, it decides to give me like one or two 2600 puzzles out of like 30. (and yes, i solved it correct so why shouldn't i get more of them if i have proven that i can solve it)

two proofs: (these are the most recent ones i have, i know it says yesterday and the day before that, i really don't get any 2600 puzzles which is sad)

I know for a while the puzzle system had a bug and was only presenting puzzles a lot lower rated. At the time I bug reported it and that improved, but it's possible they don't quite have it dialed in yet.

They apparently added a feature to give lower rated Puzzles if you missed a number in a row, so they seem to still be making modifications to the selection algorithms.

When I was 1800 I was constantly in the 2400 to 2600 range.

And I am still there in that range.

??

ok im just confused now

but OP is not "beginner level player" for all i know

"beginner" was used as an exaggeration to make fun of OP for complaining when he has an almost 2500 puzzle rating, which I honestly have to agree with.

sndeww

you're like a 1500 rating with a 2500 puzzle rating, and you're complaining that you can't solve the puzzles in the amount of time they give.

It's that high rated due to the pass rate; puzzles are treated like players and the ratings go up when failed.

It's not really a trick puzzle, just people are using patterns without calculation.

my point stands, more time per puzzle to value calculation more

you don't need to calculate. Bb5 is a good move and so it should be played immediately. there are no tactical chances besides this pin on the king on c3, so that's the only thing you should watch out for.

Exactly, it's really silly.

Let's say they make it easier for him, and then he gets a 3000 puzzle rating. Pretty soon a new topic

"Chess.com puzzle rating is trash, I can't get above 3000 because I need at least 10 seconds to solve a puzzle"

lol

Just so you know, when a "real" player solves "real" puzzles they spend several minutes... this speed solve by guessing to pump up your rating stuff is for kids online.

There is a place for training speed for pattern recognition but spending time in calculation is also important.

no. I don't think so. 1400 puzzles with 20 sec calculation? IT's ok. But once you up the difficulty NO NO NO, you need longer time? Ofc not.
