When the Second World War ended people thought that atlast peace has taken place. But soon the tow super power blocs , the Communist Bloc headed by Soviet Union and the Capitalist Bloc headed by the United States of America got engaged in shrwd war tactics which came to be known as Cold War tactics. This process of one upmanship gave rise to bitter rivarly in all phases of life including sports. Chess, the game of intellectuals which was previously patronised by the Soviet Chess Machine became one of the leading arena of conflict between the two Superpowers. A player named Bobby Fishcer became one of the best known names in American chess. After his historical triumph in 1972 he declined to play the match in 1975. He became on of the best players of the 21st decade and one of two non Russian(the other is India's very own Vishwanathan Anand) World Champions of chess. His legendary victory over Spassky is famous till now.
