Chess Game database for research paper

Hi,

Question 1: I was wondering if I could download the chess.com database and then run some analysis on the games. The outcome will be very useful for all the players. it is purely for research purpose and I will credit chess.com ( once the paper is published). is this possible?

Question 2: if yes, how do I download the database?

Question 3: is there anyway I can run some custom query against chess.com database initially and then download the relevant games?

I'm pretty sure you can't download the whole game database. There are some APIs that you might be able to script something but you would have to read up on the specifics.
