Dragec, that's one of the worst movies I've seen! And I like Christopher Lambert, Diane Lane, and chess!
Just a test
I don't like it either.

And what about this one?

One of my favourite movie characters.
And the game with salt & pepper is really something you will rarely see.
It's not from a movie, but my favorite example of chess in entertainment is an episode of the tv show Lexx. In it, a game is played between two characters, with every move of the game being explicitly shown and analyzed, but remaining easy to understand and entertaining even for non-chessplaying fans of the show. An excellent review can be found on Jeremy Silman's personal website here: http://www.jeremysilman.com/movies_tv_js/lexx_chess_episode.html
Another great example of chess in entertainment is the musical Chess, a semi-political drama which uses a chess match between a Russian and an American as the backdrop to the action.
Reading this caused me to remember a chess book I have, of which I cannot remember the title, that has masters' games in which is explained why masters' made each move. I haven't seen it since we moved. Now I must find it.

There's my answer to whether it is worth seeing.
Wasn't there a sexy game of Chess in the Thomas Crown affair, Cool Steve and Chess, not bad
Clearly my favorite: The Thomas Crown Affair
Check it out.

Chess and Cool Steve, nice combination. Another movie to put on my list to see.
rook on the attacking board, second level, check!
23. R Bs2n l + Your move!
I don't get 3-D chess. I mean, chess normally is in 3-D, just on a 2-D plane. But in 3-D chess, essentially it's the same board, just fragmented and elevated to different areas, right? I mean, the "space" is the same

Do you see there are four small boards, those are attacking boards that can move to the larger boards.
Each of the larger boards has four pegs that the attacking boards can be moved to, and are moved up or down according to your moves and play can be on three levels.
The absolute best movie that had chess in it was The Seventh Seal.
I just saw "The Seventh Seal" recently again, and it's actually an incredibly dull film. Waaaaay overrated! I guess I thought it was good before, because I didn't really see that many good films when I first saw it. But now, I think it's complete crap
not to mention the crappy chess game therein (maybe if we knew Swedish, trysts:
Filmen stinker på is, och det fanns gott om is. )
Det var en mycket dålig Bergmanfilm. Jag tror det är därför det är så populärt.
I wrote an article on the Thomas Crown Affair, from the two movies and the real Thomas Crown.
