once someone past 2000s, they start worrying about positional play and inaccuracies that make the game harder. 2000s also blunder basic tactics a lot

Putting aside the fact that this post is probably some try at sarcasm or light trolling, I have to admit that not many people take offense by hearing that word anymore. If anything, it is considered a good thing in western culture nowadays. I grew up in an era when being called a nerd meant you are not in the cool kid category. Then came the internet revolution and the revenge of the nerds. At some point some very hot model put on reading glasses and wrote a capture like "hehe, I'm such a nerd" in her Instagram photo, and it was finally over.

Quit it with the name calling.

"Sports is for jocks." The unspoken word is "dumb jock".

Knowing something is better than knowing nothing.

Being able to do something is better being able to do nothing.

A person who knows [fill in the blank] is better than some one who does not know [fill in the blank].

Same as above, a person who can do . . .

Now if I know chess, and you know poker, who will do better in life?

That's a great question.

If I'm a chess player and you play sports, who will be better at life?

That's a great question too.

Logic.

A person who knows something is better than a person who knows nothing.

A person who plays chess is better than a person who doesn't.

I play chess and I poo poo other games.

I was introduced to and played Betrayal at House on the Hill.

Again, I poo pooed it immediately.

There is a whole book of rules.

Gomoko rules: Like tic-tac-toe, but 5 in a row. That's it. That is all the rules.

Chess. You can write down the rules on one sheet of paper, on one side.

The thick book of rules is to make the game more life like.

I was impressed by the 1st rule.

You pick a character.

They vary in attributes from 1 to 4 or something like that.

strength

speed

intelligence

emotional stability

But all the characters add up to the same value!

Wow, I am impressed. That is real life!

That's how we play the game of life.

Chess loads up on the intelligence points.

bro what do you mean im white?

Quit it with the name calling.

Like a role playing game, different characters have different attributes.

If you invest in intelligence, you're a nerd?

If you invest in strength, you're a dumb jock?

If you invest in beauty, you're a dumb bimbo?

If you invest in [fill in the blank], you're a [fill in in the blank].

At one point in time, there was a saying,

"Guys don't make passes at girls who wear glasses."

Grow the [bleep] up people.
