Please do not be discouraged. There are many players here that have the same kind of luck as well. In a couple of weeks, I'll be a member here for 8 years; and a few years ago, I had a 'Blitz' rating of over 1,000 -- but my rating has gone down to over 500 !!!
Try not to take it to heart, it's part of the game of chess for many of us.
