I don't normally use the sequential/adaptive feature preferring to choose what courses to do/review on my own, but maybe you should do adaptive. I hate it because it seems to zero in on everything I'm bad at....OH WAIT, THAT'S THE WHOLE IDEA.
chess mentor inflated

thanks I will try that - I didn't study chess as a kid so many thinks a lot of people take for granted as chess knowledge is not part of my chess knowledge.
so I try to learn as much from the basic to fill the blanks.

The rating is not meant to reflect anything except your progress at Chess Mentor. You cannot compare it with your other ratings.

I still think it is funny I clicked on show tips for all moves and moved the wrong piece a couple of times.
still got +1. 1875> 1876. still I think I learned something however I should get -100 for using all tips and all the wrong moves.

Well, they've got to keep things looking good if they want people to pay for it.
It's like private schools in Thailand; nobody gets a failing grade. EVER!
I use chess mentor to learn some things about chess but as I want to start with the basic. I have reset my chess mentor rating three times. however I answer some easy endgame lessons and suddenly my rating is around 1800 to 1900. How can I tweak chess mentor to get a more realistic chess mentor rating.
