Absolutely, can't afford internet at home right now so this is the only way I can play atm. Besides otb games with a couple friends once and awhile, but having kids restricts that.
Chess on smartphones.
Chess.com app is good. But I also very much enjoy Chess by Mastersoft, and Chess by Christophe Theron. I got the full versions because I wanted to have access to features of both.
I have the Christophe one and it's awesome to learn and as an engine in general
But I think we're talking about online play
In love it so much
But the iPhone app is severely limited as opposed to the same chess.com app for other mobile platforms
I have a seemingly indestructible 810G IP8 waterproof/shockproof/dustproof flip phone due to my work, since the easily damaged smartphones are a no go for me to carry, but I do pack an Android tablet in one of my packs for when I'm in an area with Wi-Fi or the command center sets up it's own mobile hot spot... So I like being able to login to the chess.com app during the "hurry up and wait" phase of operations. I believe the app on my tablet is the same one you'd have with an Android smartphone, and I'm impressed. Not as easy as sitting in front of a PC, but still well designed. Best thing to have happened in this world? I wouldn't go that far. But for chess? Definitely!
Guyz, you just have to agree with me, the chess.com app on smartphones is one of the best things to have happened in this world. Oui?
