chess or 1000 USD

What would you choose between $1000 and chess? (If you choose $1000, you'll forget how to play chess forever.) 

Depends on if forever means I can be taught it again, I just can't remember it on my own. If this is the case then the 1000 because I will re-learn it, I have many friends who play chess too.

For a million I wouldn't do it either. I need an amount of money so big I can just retire as a teen for me to consider this lol
