#3 i said a board game

I'm a PC gamer. Chess is the only board game I like that has the right amount of depth to it. I guess if you like strategy there's Twilight Imperium, but then you need at minimum 4 hours for a game.

Applause for Imperium. My favs are the Civ and Total War series, as well as Gal. Civ and Rise of Nations. I like a number of Paradox titles but their time investment restricts how often I can play them.

--- #6, yes battleship is a boardgame; if a game is a boardgame that is played on a PC, i.e. the game mechanics and presentation are" boardgame", then a game is a board game. For example, Risk or a Risk-style game played on a PC would simply be a boardgame ported to a PC. Chess is a boardgame whether its physically played on a chess board or a PC. Twilight Imperium and Civilization are both boardgames, both have PC versions.

Stratego and crokinole I’ll enthusiastically play. I don’t like them more than chess though.

I full blown hate monopoly.

Trapa--- I once saw someone lose a game of Stratego because he arranged his bombs in such a manner, that he could not make his first move and lost by default.

Backgammon, because it has enough strategy so that you can win against a beginner, but it's luck-based enough so that the difference between a advanced and an expert is not that big

Let's hear it for  Axis and Allies.

Erm actually Connect 4 is a solved game so whoever goes first always wins if they know the sequence

Chopsticks is another solved game
