I'm interested in making a personality quiz that will categorize chess players into various types. I'm aware of the Meyers-Briggs personality test, but I'm not too interested in trying to use it for this. I'd prefer something fresher, and more tailor made to chess specifically.
I'm thinking about making types by grouping chess personalities along these lines:
Aggressive vs. Patient (you could also call this strategic vs. tactical)
Analytical vs. Intuitive (as in a focus on calculating out variations among candidate moves vs. focus on the imbalances of the current position)
These two scales would create 4 types of players. I'm in need of at least 1 additional scale because 4 types just isn't enough to be very interesting. I have some ideas about what I could use, but I want input. What would be the most defining traits after the ones above? It would have follow the "THIS vs. THAT" format, where both ends of the scale have both pros and cons, like the traits above (for example, "Analyticals" would tend to be precise, especially early on, but might tire out over the course of a long, tough game).
All input is welcome, thanks!!
