It's a pretty old joke, my dad told it to me when I was a wee little schubomb. But it's a goody :D

Chess players are hyper sensitive ego maniacs who have nothing better to do with their time than push bits of wood around on a bit of board.

Not all are like this of course some are just nuts.

There is a difference between sensitiveness and emotional. Some players are emotional, I dont know whether it is good or not. But being sensitive is really good. By the way, sensitiveness doesn't always in the negative sense.

Main Entry: 1sen·si·tive
Pronunciation: \ˈsen(t)-sə-tiv, ˈsen(t)s-təv\
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French, from Medieval Latin sensitivus, probably alteration of sensativus, from sensatus sensate
Date: 15th century

3 : highly responsive or susceptible: as a (1) : easily hurt or damaged; especially : easily hurt emotionally  b : excessively or abnormally susceptible

i guess i'm referring to the "easily hurt or damaged; easily hurt emotionally" definition of sensitive. and i did state "too" sensitive in the OP.

Main Entry: emo·tion·al
Pronunciation: \-shnəl, -shə-nəl\
Function: adjective
Date: 1834

2 : dominated by or prone to emotion <an emotional person>
4 : markedly aroused or agitated in feeling or sensibilities

you could say these "sensitive" people are dominated by emotion for sure and are easily agitated with their feelings.
