Did anyone's puzzle rating drop drastically in the last 7 days? Mine dropped from above a 2200, all the way to 1573, and I am angry about it. Does anyone know why the heck this happened? If you do, please comment to let me know why this happened.

I know now why it happened because I contacted support and they told me, but if you are talking about me that is very offensive. I know how to read. I am not like those idiot drivers all over the US who dont know how to drive.

Unless I missed it, I think they adjusted the ratings before warning members and posting the explanation, which understandably pissed people off.
The changes make sense but preparing people for them didn’t.

It was brought up on the State of Chess.com broadcast at the beginning of September. I don't believe it was mentioned anywhere else until the feature released.

They only did it to help your rating better affect your true skill, but the puzzles are too hard now, and I cant get my streak to be long again.

That is exactly why I am angry. I dont mean to be a butt, but please dont say pissed. I know it is not that much of a cuss, but there are kids on here.

I also dont mean to be rude, because you are probably an adult, but I am a kid, and the way I was raised was that pissed is a cuss. you can say what you want but please keep a filter online. At least it wasn't the fbomb though 🤣

The effort is not gone, only the rating is gone. You still made the effort, but how you feel about the effort is different.
Think of it this way, imagine it were golf. I've heard people complain about 510 yard par 4s and also 250 yard par 3s. The yardage doesn't change. Your score doesn't change. The only thing that changes is how you feel about your effort. A lot of people want the par to be higher, so they can feel good about making the exact same effort.
Ask yourself at what point would you be satisfied with your effort. A puzzle rating of 3,100? What about 4,100? Magnus Carlsens puzzle rating is about 3300. Do you think you two are roughly equal in chess puzzle solving ability?
