you shoot game, so you just get out a pistol and shoot all the pieces off the board, thus chess is game.

Sitting on your butt utterly motionless for lengthy periods of time staring at a board requires an elite amount of athleticism.

sometimes the players walk around, quite slowly like zombies going fast, so from the perspective of zombies chess could well be a sport.
